Project Overview
The Raja Shankar Shah Museum is a museum located in the Indian city of Bhopal, dedicated to the life and works of Raja Shankar Shah. The museum is housed in the palace where Raja Shankar Shah was imprisoned and executed by the British in 1857. Exhibits in the museum include paintings, weapons, sculptures, and other artifacts related to Raja Shankar Shah and his uprising against the British.
Raja Shankar Shah Museum is the only museum in India dedicated to the life and times of Raja Shankar Shah, the titular king of Garha Kingdom who led an uprising against the British in Jubbulpore in 1857 and was put to death along with his son.
